Summary

The Old Post Office is a charming period property, brimming with character and original features that blend perfectly to complement this charming and picturesque chocolate box home. It definitely has looks on its side!

With four double bedrooms, grand sized sitting room, reception/dining reception room, inglenook fireplaces, kitchen and separate breakfast room, cloakroom, family bathroom, double garage, manageable garden enclosed by a stone wall, plus private parking for several cars. Occupying a commanding, central position opposite the village green and close to St. Thomas' Church in Lower Moor, Pershore.

We think this is a very attractive house and trust you will agree. Recently dressed to show the houses full potential of blending old with modern, definitely has a contemporary feel.

With a 24 ft sitting room, 15 ft reception room and the potential to extend the kitchen beautifully to create an amazing and pleasing space, this house has been priced to sell and would make a perfect family home.

Older children would particularly like Bedroom 4, with its own sitting area, games room space that my son would have loved! Tucked away and out of sight!

NO ONWARD CHAIN. A STRESS FREE PURCHASE!

With a rich history, fantastic kerb appeal, and nearly 2,000 sq. ft of very generous and bright living space the Old Post Office is a superb opportunity to buy a beautiful home that works well with a modern approach.

Currently the house is very habitable but the kitchen and bathroom favour being updated or possibly extended (subject to usual planning consents).

***We have been advised by the owners that planning permission to extend the rear kitchen and first floor bathroom was previously granted but has since expired. Supporting documentation is available to view upon request and is available at the property to view first hand***

Please note there is double glazing throughout and this is a warm house. The regularly serviced Worcester Bosch boiler is in good condition.

There is evidence to suggest the house has been a post office and village store for more than 100 years hence the name.

With so much to commend it as a quintessential period home, with that usual commodity, size and space we hope you can see what a charming home this is.

Location

LOCATION

Lower Moor, a village with 600 residents, is situated between Wyre Piddle and Fladbury and about four miles from Pershore. The village has a public house, The Old Chestnut Tree, a small Victorian church, Country Club and a village hall.

The village green is in the centre of the village and used to be grazed on by sheep but now has a small children's play park, is neatly mowed and is handy for dog walkers. During the respective seasons kid"s football and cricket matches are played at weekends on the village green. Something that is becoming a rare sight these days!

For education the nearest Primary school is Fladbury's C of E and the nearest secondary school is Pershore High School, plus Prince Henry's High School and the De Montfort School.

However top quality schools in Worcester, including the renowned Kings, Worcester and RGS, Worcester are only 11 miles away.

The oldest part of the village is at the western end around Bridge Street and Church Lane. The tiny church of St Thomas, built in 1868, is a fine example of a Victorian chapel. There was no church in Lower Moor until the 19th century and villagers would cross fields to Fladbury, on what is now called Porters footpath for church services.

Lower Moor is an unspoilt and peaceful village and the pub dates back to the16th century.

For shopping head to Pershore, a delightful riverside market town where you will find a range of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, theatre and library. There are popular events such as the Pershore plum, jazz and river festival. You are right in the heart of the Vale of Evesham at Lower Moor. This is some of the prettiest countryside in the country and home to dazzling displays of fruit blossoms in the spring and the Asparagus Festival in May and June!

There are plenty of country walks and a wide range of water sport activities at the Aztec activity lake.

Commuting from Lower Moor is straightforward with easy access to the M5 at Worcester; the nearest train stations are a few miles away in either Pershore or Evesham and you can be in London in just under two hours.
